Well well this sure is a special day. So you all know I am up in the wee hours of the morning getting this newsletter put together as i know i will have no time when the sun comes up. You see this is Heather's birthday. Since this is her first birthday since we have been together it has to be extra special indeed. By the time she reads this tomorrow evening all this will already be done so i can tell you folks now. Going to run down to her house in the morning and make her breakfast in bed. Then going to run by her work since she doesnt go in till noon. Going to leave her some balloons and roses. In the evening we are going to her moms for her birthday dinner from her mom. After that back to my house and a cake thats beijng made for her along with all her birthday gifts. Yeah come on guys you know you have to go all out on your girlfriend and wives if you are married. So as you can see I will be on the run all day long by the time you folks read this. Ohhhh and I have set up a special email box just in case any of you want to email her a Happy Birthday. It must be one of your own recipes or a family recipe. The one I like the best wins a Candle and Topper Set plus a $10 Walmart Gift Card. In order for me to continue to do the4 recipe contest I will and do expect a min. of 25 of you to get entered into the contest this month. Confetti Christmas Cutout Cookies
Ingredients:
1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker® sugar cookie mix
1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
2 tablespoons Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
1 egg
2 tablespoons Betty Crocker® red, green and white candy sprinkles
1 container (12 oz) Betty Crocker® Whipped fluffy white frosting
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 375°F. In medium bowl, stir cookie mix, butter, flour and egg until soft dough forms. Sprinkle candy sprinkles over dough; gently stir into dough.
2. Roll dough on floured surface until about 1/4 inch thick. Cut with cookie cutters. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
3. Bake 7 to 9 minutes or light golden brown around edges. Cool 1 minute before removing from cookie sheet; cool completely, about 20 minutes.
4. Decorate with frosting and additional candy sprinkles as desired.
